Founder & Principal
Paul is a business owner, investor and qualified accountant with over twenty-five years' experience building, scaling, acquiring and exiting businesses across a range of sectors.
His career has not been limited to advisory roles. He has operated directly as a principal — taking responsibility for the performance, growth and strategic direction of businesses — providing him with a practical, real-world understanding of what drives value, and what can undermine it.
Throughout his career, Paul has been actively involved in the day-to-day decisions and discipline that build durable businesses. This breadth of experience allows him to view opportunities through a commercial lens, rather than a purely theoretical or advisory perspective.
As a qualified accountant, Paul brings a strong technical foundation across financial performance and control, cash flow and profitability, transaction structuring, and tax efficiency and planning.
What differentiates the approach is the ability to combine that technical expertise with hands-on entrepreneurial experience.

Having built and managed businesses himself, Paul has direct experience of managing teams and operational delivery, dealing with commercial pressure and uncertainty, balancing growth with financial control, making decisions with incomplete information, and navigating the realities of day-to-day ownership.
This ensures that when assessing a business or structuring a transaction, the focus is not just on what the numbers say — but on how the business genuinely performs in practice.

Paul has worked on both sides of transactions — as a buyer, a seller and an advisor — giving him a balanced view of the importance of fair value, the risks of different deal structures, the impact of terms over time, and the difference between a deal that is agreed and one that actually completes.
It is often a significant personal milestone, involving years of effort, relationships and responsibility. Paul's approach reflects that — grounded in clear, direct and honest communication; a focus on realistic and deliverable outcomes; professionalism at every stage; and respect for the business, its people and its history.
